Eiffel as a language is very attractive: it is very precise and confined, compact, there are some Free software tools to develop on it. SmartEiffel could compile Eiffel into Java code and EiffelStudio maybe even into .NET code, while a question remains how much this is attractive. Eiffel is not much used, but where is used, used seriously - in various mission critical applications. The question, as with every language, is how many contributions could then we expect. The team knows Eiffel pretty well and would be able to review the code.
