We respect our contributors

[Edit]Why ads now ?

Logs clearly show the two populations of users. Returning users visit multiple pages, run applets and come back. If they like the site, they could help with its improvement and have the site ads free. Ads are targeted to another group of users that just view a single page, picking the information they were looking for (they do stay several minutes so they read the article).

Not only a new applet, but also a new relevant chapter (or even a separate small article), uploaded picture or even some style or grammar improvements deserve enough our respect to remove ads permanently from your login account.

[Edit]Ads free status

We grant the "ads free" status after we verify the contribution and find it useful and sufficient (some very tiny contribution as moving a single comma in one sentence may not be sufficient). This is a manual process but we watch the recent changes frequently so it should not take a long time. Hence register, log in, contribute a little bit and we will grant you "ads free" status easily. If you are a student, trying to understand the topic, you likely already have some knowledge and sources next to you.

Registration link is here and also on the top of the page. You will only be asked to provide the preferred username and password. E-mail address for password recovery is optional.

[Edit]Requirements

Please to not simply copy-paste material from Wikipedia and similar sites, even if they have appropriate license. We want something original. Also, for sure, let's work with important content (articles), not with comment or other technical pages.

This policy should help to differentiate between the returning visitors that use site seriously and may cooperate in improving it and random searchers that just come one time to pick a piece of information they need.

When you make any edit on this site, you grant us the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license to use it.
